One day after a long duration snowstorm hit the state, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) announced almost all service restored, with one detour on Route 71. RIPTA Street Supervisors will continue to check routes throughout the day. Riders may expect some delays on all routes due to weather conditions and are advised to use extreme caution at bus stops due to decreased visibility and slippery conditions. The safety of our employees and our passengers is RIPTA’s top priority.
The following route is on detour:
Route 71 (Broad St./Pawtucket Ave): No service to Ocean State Job Lot. Buses will terminate on Pawtucket Avenue at the location of the old Job Lot store.
