The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 55 (Admiral/Prov College) on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in order to accommodate the St. Pius V 17th Annual 5K Road Race. The detour will be in effect from 10:00am to 11:30am on October 19th.
The route will detour as follows:
Route 55 (Admiral/ Prov College):
Inbound: Trips into downtown Providence will travel the regular route to the intersection of Admiral Street and River Avenue, continue on Admiral Street, and then resume regular route.
Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Providence will travel regular route to the intersection of Admiral Street and Huxley Avenue, continue on Admiral Street, and then resume regular route.
RIPTA, the State’s Mobility Manager, operates over 3,000 daily bus trips on over 50 bus routes throughout the state. Last year, we provided 20 million rides.
