The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Routes 60, 63 and 67 in Newport on Saturday, March 11, 2017 to accommodate the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. 

The following route changes will be in effect on Saturday, March 11, 2017: 

Route 60 (Newport/Providence):

Trips into the Newport Gateway Center between 9:00 am and Noon will travel along the regular route to West Main Road and Coddington Highway, take a right onto Coddington Highway to Connell Highway, continue around the rotary, take a right onto Admiral Kalfbus, a right onto Bridge Access Road, a left onto Connell Highway through to Farewell, a right onto America’s Cup Avenue to the Route 60 bus stop.

Trips leaving the Newport Gateway between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm will take a right onto Long Wharf, right Washington, right Galdys Carr, left onto America’s Cup Avenue, left onto Farewell to Connell Highway, right onto Admiral Kalfbus, right onto Connell Highway to Coddington Highway, left onto West Main Road, and then resume the regular route.

Route 63 (Broadway/Shopping Center):

Trips into the Newport Gateway Center between 8:45 am and 12:15 pm will travel the regular route to Hillside and Admiral Kalbfus, take a right onto Admiral Kalbfus, left onto Bridge Access Road, left onto Connell Highway to Farewell, right onto America’s Cup Avenue, to the Route 63 bus stop.

Trips leaving the Newport Gateway Center between 8:45 am and 12:15 pm will take a right onto Long Wharf, right on Washington, right Gladys Carr, left onto America’s Cup Avenue, left onto Farewell to Connell Highway, left onto Admiral Kalbfus, left onto Hillside, and then resume the regular route.

Route 67 (Bellevue/Mansions/Salve Regina):

Trips into the Newport Gateway Center between 10:00 am and 12:20 pm will travel the regular route to Bellevue Avenue and Kay Street, take a right onto Kay Street, left onto Rhode Island Avenue, right onto Broadway, left onto Summer to Van Zandt, left onto Farewell to the Route 67 bus stop.

Trips leaving the Newport Gateway Center between 10:00 am and 12:20 pm will take a right onto Long Wharf, right Washington, right Glady Carr, left onto America’s Cup Avenue, left onto Farewell, right onto Van Zandt to Summer, right onto Broadway, left onto Rhode Island Avenue, right onto Kay Street, left onto Bellevue Avenue, then resume the regular route.
