The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour twelve bus routes in Providence on Sunday, April 27, 2014 to accommodate the Get Gored for Good Festival Fundraiser.   Routes 1, 3, 11, 20, 22, 30, 52, 60, 66, and 72 will be detoured from 10:30am to 11:30am; Routes 6 and 92 will be detoured from the first trip of the day until 3:30PM.  Bus Stop  Q and the trolley pavilion stop will be temporarily relocated for this detour.

In addition to the twelve detoured routes, passengers should expect delays on the following routes:

Route 19 (Plainfield/Westminster)

Route 27(Broadway/Manton)

Route 28 (Broadway/Hartford)

Route 31 (Cranston St)

Route 33 (Riverside)

Route 34 (East Providence)

Route 35 (Rumford)

Route 42 (Hope Street)

Route 50 (Douglas Ave)

Route 55 (Admiral/Prov College)

Route 54 (Lincoln/Woonsocket)

Route 99 (North Main/Pawtucket)

The following detours will be in effect on Sunday, April 27, 2014: 

ROUTE 1 (Eddy/Gaspee):

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Dorrance and Westminister Streets.  Passengers should expect delays traveling through this area.

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Dorrance and Westminister Streets.  Passengers should expect delays traveling through this area.

ROUTE 3 (Warwick Ave.):

Please refer to the Route 1 (Eddy/Gaspee) detour.

ROUTE 6 (Prairie/R.W. Zoo):

This route will be on detour from the first trip of the day until 3:30PM.

This stop has been temporarily relocated to Bus Stop M in Kennedy Plaza.

Outbound trips will leave Bus Stop M, take a right onto Memorial Boulevard, right onto Fulton Street, right onto Dorrance Street, right onto Washington Street, and then resume regular route.

Inbound trips will travel the regular route.

ROUTE 11 (Broad St):

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Washington and Empire Streets, continue on to Washington Street, left onto Service Road through to Broad Street, right onto Elmwood Avenue and then resume regular route.

Inbound trips will travel the regular route.  Passenger should expect delays in the Providence area on this route.

ROUTE 20 (Elmwood Ave):

Please refer to the Route 11 (Broad St) detour.

ROUTE 22 (Pontiac Ave):

Please refer to the Route 11 (Broad St) detour.

ROUTE 30 (Arlington/Oaklawn):

 Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Washington and Exchange Streets, continue on Exchange Street, left onto Memorial Boulevard, and then resume regular route.

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the Downtown Exit through to Memorial Boulevard, right onto Fulton Street, and then proceed into Kennedy Plaza.

ROUTE 52 (Branch Ave/Bryant Univ):

This stop has been temporarily relocated to Bus Stop P in Kennedy Plaza.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route. 

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Steeple Street and Memorial Boulevard, left onto Memorial Boulevard, right onto Fulton Street, right onto Dorrance Street, and then right onto Washington Street to Bus Stop P.

ROUTE 60 (Providence/Newport):

This stop has been temporarily relocated to Bus Stop P in Kennedy Plaza.

ROUTE 66 (URI/Galilee):

Please refer to the Route 30 (Arlington/Oaklawn) detour.

ROUTE 72 (Weeden/Central Falls):

This stop has been temporarily relocated to Bus Stop P in Kennedy Plaza.

Please refer to the Route 52 Branch Ave/Bryant Univ ) detour.

ROUTE 92 (RI College/Federal Hill/East Side):

This route will be on detour from the first trip of the day until 3:30PM.

This stop has been temporarily relocated to Bus Stop M in Kennedy Plaza.
