RIPTA TO HOLD COMMUNITY MEETING TO DISCUSS THE RESTRUCTURING OF ROUTE 63 (BROADWAY/MIDDLETOWN) Community Meeting Scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2014

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will hold a community meeting to update the public on the restructuring of Route 63 (Broadway/Middletown) on Thursday, September 18, 2014. Changes to Route 63 include the elimination of service on West Main Road, including service to Oxbow Apartments; passengers can use Route 60 to access these areas. Also, service frequency will increase from every 30 minutes to every 25 minutes. These service changes are intended to achieve improved service, on-time performance, and safety for passengers.

Passengers are encouraged to attend the community meeting to learn more about the restructuring, effective Saturday, September 20, 2014, and to receive a new schedule.
