The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) announced today that Route 6 (Prairie/R.W. Zoo) will be realigned on Monday, January 27, 2014. RIPTA began detouring Route 6 (Prairie/R.W. Zoo) on Friday, January 3, 2014 due to effects from the first major snowstorm of the season. In order to better serve passengers, Route 6 (Praire/R.W. Zoo) will be realigned.
The following realignment will be effective Monday, January 27, 2014:
Route 6 (Prairie/R.W. Zoo):
Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Prairie Avenue, right onto Blackstone Street, right onto Staniford Street, right into the CCRI campus , exit CCRI Campus onto Staniford Street, left onto Staniford Street, left onto Blackstone Street, right onto Gay Street, left onto Dudley Street, right onto Prairie Avenue , and then resume regular route.
Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Prairie Avenue, left onto Blackstone Street, right onto Staniford Street, right into the CCRI campus, exit CCRI Campus onto Staniford Street, left onto Staniford Street, left onto Blackstone Street, right onto Gay Street, left onto Dudley Street, left onto Prairie Avenue, and then resume regular route.
