The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will hold community meetings to update the public on the R-Line, RIPTA’s first Rapid Bus Transit line. The R-Line, which will replace RIPTA Routes 11 (Broad St.) and 99 (North Main/Pawtucket) on June 21, 2014, is designed to serve people quickly and efficiently on a 7-mile route between Pawtucket and Providence. RIPTA is holding these meetings in anticipation of the installation of bus shelters, signage and other amenities this spring as well as the realignment of bus stops along the route.
