The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 40 (Butler/Elmgrove/Tunnel) on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm to accommodate the New England Rabbinical College’s Purim Parade.  Elmgrove Avenue will be closed during this time.

The following route detours will be in effect on Thursday, March 24, 2016: 

Route 40 (Butler/Elmgrove/Tunnel):

Inbound:  Trips will travel the regular route to Blackstone Boulevard, turn right onto Blackstone Boulevard, turn left onto Upton Avenue and then resume regular route.

Outbound: Trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Elmgrove and Upton Avenues, right onto Upton Avenue, left onto Blackstone Boulevard and then resume regular route.
