Due to construction on the Clyde Bridge in West Warwick, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 29 beginning with the first trip of the day on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.   The detour will remain in effect through approximately the end of June 2018.

The detours will be as follows: 

Route 29 (Cowesset/Kent County):

Westbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of East Main Street and Main Street, turn left onto Main Street, turn right onto Maple Avenue, right onto Fairview Avenue, right onto Main Street and then resume regular route.

Eastbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Main Street and Maple Avenue, turn left onto Maple Avenue, right onto Fairview Avenue, right onto Main Street and then resume regular route.
