RIPTA RESTORES ALL SERVICE FOLLOWING SEVERE STORM

March 14, 2018

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) announced that it is running regular service today, Wednesday, March 14, 2018, following the suspension of service yesterday due to severe winter weather. Riders may experience some delays or detours due to slippery road conditions or streets still being cleared. They are also advised to use extreme caution at bus stops. The safety of passengers and employees is RIPTA’s top priority and the transit authority thanks customers for their patience.

Passengers are advised to sign up for electronic News Updates at https://www.ripta.com/press-releases and RIPTA will e-mail detours and service disruption notices to passengers on this distribution list. Passengers are also strongly advised to monitor news reports and check www.RIPTA.com and RIPTA’s social media outlets (Facebook @RideRIPTA and Twitter @RIPTA_RI) for service advisories and updates throughout any storm.
