The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Routes 1, 3, 6, 17, 19, 20, 22, 27, 28, 30, 31, 35, 60, 66, 78, 92, and the R-Line in Providence on Sunday, April 29, 2018 to accommodate the Get Gored for Good Festival Fundraiser.   All routes will be detoured from 9:45am to 12pm unless indicated below. Passengers should expect minor delays on all routes traveling through the city.  For more information on this event, visit www.getgoredforgood.org/.

The following routes will be detoured on Sunday, April 29, 2018:

Route 1 (Eddy/Hope/Benefit):

Northbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Richmond and Point Streets, left onto Point Street, right onto E. Franklin Street, left onto the I-95N on-ramp, right at the Downtown Exit, right onto Francis Street through to Dorrance Street, left onto Washington Street to Bus Stop I. 

Southbound trips will travel the regular route to Bus Stop D, then right onto Dorrance Street, through to Francis Street, left onto the I-95S on-ramp, right at the Eddy St. Exit, right onto Eddy Street and then resume regular route.

Route 3 (Warwick Ave):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Richmond and Point Streets, left onto Point Street, right onto E. Franklin Street, left onto the I-95N on-ramp, right onto Francis Street through to Dorrance Street, left onto Washington Street, right onto Exchange Street and then right onto Fulton Street to Bus Stop D.

Route 3 (Warwick Ave) continued:

Outbound trips will turn right onto Dorrance Stree through to Francis Street, left onto the I-95S on-ramp, right at the Eddy St. Exit, right onto Eddy Street and then resume regular route.

Route 6 (Prarie/R.W. Zoo) WILL DETOUR 9:30AM – 12PM

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Weybosset and Dorrance Streets, left onto Dorrance Street, right onto Washington Street, right onto Exchange Street and then right onto Fulton Street to Bus Stop C.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route.

Route 17 (Dyer/Pocasset):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Dorrance Street, turn right onto Dorrance Street, left onto West Exchange, left onto Dean Street, right onto Westminster Street and then resume regular route.

Route 19 (Plainfield/Westminster):

Please refer to the Route 17 (Dyer/Pocasset) detour.

Route 20 (Elmwood Ave.):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Weybosset and Dorrance Streets, left onto Dorrance Street, right onto Washington Street, right onto Exchange Street and then right onto Fulton Street to Bus Stop C.

Outbound trips will turn right onto Dorrance Street, left onto West Exchange, left onto Dean Street through to Cahir Street, right onto Broad Street then resume regular route.

Route 22 (Pontiac Ave.):

Please refer to the Route 20 (Elmwood Ave.) detour.

Route 27 (Manton) WILL DETOUR 7AM – 12PM

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Broadway and Service Road, right onto Service Road, left onto Washington Street and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will turn left onto Exchange Terrace, continue onto West Exchange, turn left onto Dean Street, right onto Broadway and then resume regular route.

Route 28 (Broadway/Hartford) WILL DETOUR 7AM – 12PM

Please refer to the Route 27 (Manton) detour.

Route 30 (Arlington/Oaklawn):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Memorial Boulevard, right onto Exchange Street, and then right onto Fulton Street to Bus Stop C.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route.     

Route 31 (Cranston Street):

Please refer to the Route 17 (Dyer/Pocasset) detour.

Route 35 (Rumford/Newport Ave.):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route.

Outbound trips will leave the bus stop, turn left onto Exchange Street, left onto Memorial Boulevard, right onto the I-95S on-ramp through to I-195E, and then resume regular route.

Route 60 (Providence/Newport):

Please refer to the Route 35 (Rumford/Newport Ave.) detour.

Route 66 (URI/Galilee):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to I-95N, right at the Downtown Exit to Memorial Boulevard, right onto Exchange Street, and then right onto Fulton Street to Bus Stop Y. 

Outbound trips will travel the regular route.

Route 78 (Beverage Hill Ave./East Providence):

Please refer to the Route 35 (Rumford/Newport Ave.) detour.

Route 92 (RI College/Federal Hill/East Side):

EAST: Inbound trips from Rhode Island College will travel the regular route the intersection of Atwells Avenue and Service Road, right onto Service Road, and then left onto Washington Street to Bus Stop J. Trips will then travel on Washington Street through to the East Side Tunnel, right onto Thayer Street, left onto Waterman Street, right onto Brooke Street, left onto Wickenden Street and then resume regular route.   

WEST:  Trips from Eastside Market will travel the regular route to Wickenden Street, right onto Brooke Street, left onto Angell Street, left onto Thayer Street, right at the East Side Tunnel, right onto North Main Street, left onto Steeple Street, left onto Exchange Street, right onto Fulton Street, and then right onto Dorrance Street.

FROM 7 AM TO 12PM trips will then turn left ontoWest Exchange, left onto Dean Street, right onto Atwells Avenue and then resume regular route.

R-Line

Southbound trips will travel the regular route to the Providence Train Station, turn left onto Exchange Street, right onto Fulton Street, right onto Dorrance Street, left onto West Exchange, left onto Dean Street through to Cahir Street, right onto Broad Street and then resume regular route.

Northbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Broad and Empire Streets continuing onto Broad Street, left onto Dorrance Street, and then right onto Washington Street to Bus Stop J.
