Due to construction on Woonasquatucket Avenue,  the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 27 (Broadway/Manton). Inbound and outbound trips will be detoured off of Woonasquatucket Avenue onto Fruit Hill Avenue from 7am to 3:30pm during the week ONLY.   The detour is effective now until further notice.

To accommodate passengers, temporary bus stops have been installed on Fruit Hill Avenue at the following locations:

Inbound: near side Oak Grove Boulevard, near side Lyman Avenue and near side Rosedale Street.

Outbound: far side College Road, near side Lyman Avenue and near side Humbert Street.

The route will detour as follows Monday – Friday from 7AM to 3:30PM:

Route 27(Broadway/Manton):

Inbound trips will travel via Smith Street, turn right onto Fruit Hill Avenue, left onto Manton Street, and then resume regular route.   

Outbound trips will travel via Manton Street, right onto Fruit Hill Avenue, left onto Smith Street, and then resume regular route.
