The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA)
will detour Route 1 (Eddy/Hope/Benefit) to accommodate Festival Fete on Thayer
Street. The detour will be in effect all day and night on Sunday, September 28, 2014.  Thayer Street will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, September 28 for this event. 

The following route detour will be in effect on Sunday, September 28, 2014:

Route 1(Eddy/Hope/Benefit):                                                                                                         

Southbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Hope and Streets, then continue on Hope Street, right onto Angell Street, left onto Thayer Street through to
the East Side Tunnel, and then resume regular route.

Northbound trips will travel the regular route.
