The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 1 (Eddy/Hope/Benefit) to accommodate the Hope Street Winter Stroll. The detour will be in effect beginning at 3:00pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015 until 8:30pm that night. 

The following detour will be in effect on December 3, 2015:

Route 1 (Eddy/Hope/Benefit):                                                                                                         Northbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Hope Street and Rochambeau Avenue, right onto Rochambeau Avenue, left onto Elmgrove Avenue, right onto Blackstone Boulevard, left u-turn to Blackstone Boulevard, right onto Hope Street, and then resume regular route.

Southbound tripswill travel the regular route to Hope Street and Blackstone Boulevard, left onto Blackstone Boulevard, right onto Elmgrove Avenue, right onto Rochambeau Avenue, left onto Hope Street, and then resume regular route.
