The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour ten bus routes in the Pawtucket area on Sunday, May 5, 2013 in order to accommodate the Navigant Credit Union Running Festival, which includes the

Annual Blackstone Valley Half Marathon.  Bus routes 42, 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 77, 78, 80, and 99 will be detoured from the first trip of the day until 12:30pm.   Roosevelt Avenue will be closed for the duration of the race.  Main Street will reopen as the race passes.

Passengers can expect short delays on these routes during the Navigant Credit Union Running Festival. The following routes will detour from the first trip of the day until 12:30pm:

Route 42 (Hope Street):

Inbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to the intersection of George and Cedar Streets, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff  Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff and Dexter Streets, right onto Dexter Street through to Park Place, and then resume regular route. 

Route 71 (Broad Street):

Inbound trips will leave via a right onto Lonsdale Avenue through to Dexter Street, left onto Hunt Street, right onto Broad Street, travel  to the intersection of Broad and Goff Streets, right onto Goff Street, left onto Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Commerce Street, right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff and Dexter Streets, left onto Broad Street to the intersection of Broad and Hunt Streets, left onto Hunt Street, right onto Dexter Street through to Lonsdale Avenue, left into the Stop & Shop Supermarket, and then resume regular route.

Route 72 (Weeden/Central Falls):

Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Goff Street and Dexter Streets, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Commerce Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via a left onto Dexter Street and then resume regular route.

Route 73 (Fairlawn/CCRI):

Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Goff Street and Dexter Streets. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via a right onto Dexter Street, right onto Main Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 75 (Dexter/Lincoln Mall):  

Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel the regular route to Dexter and Goff Streets, continue on Dexter Street, right onto Bayley Street, right onto Commerce Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Route 75 (Dexter/Lincoln Mall):  

Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Dexter and Goff Streets, left onto Dexter Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 76 (Central Avenue):

Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to the George Bennett Highway, right onto Division Street, right onto George Street, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff Street, right onto Dexter Street, left onto Main Street through to Walcott Street, and then resume regular route. 

Route 77 (Benefit/Broadway):

Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Broadway and Main Streets, left onto Main Street, right onto Division Street, right onto George Street, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff Street through to Exchange Street, right onto Dexter Street, left onto Main Street through to Walcott Street, and then resume regular route. 

Route 78 (Beverage Hill):

Please note Main Street will reopen as soon as the race passes.

Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Prospect and Division Streets, left onto Division Street, right onto George Street, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street.  Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff and Dexter Streets, right onto Dexter Street through to Main Street, left onto Main Street, right onto School Street, and then resume regular route. 

Route 80 (Armistice Boulevard):

Inbound trips into downtown Pawtucket will travel regular route to Summit and Division Streets, right onto Division Street, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Pawtucket will leave via Goff Street through to Exchange Street, right onto Dexter Street, left onto Main Street, right onto Summit Street, and then resume regular route. Route 99 (Providence/Pawtucket) – Trips Via Main Street:

Inbound trips into Providence will leave via Goff and Dexter Streets, take a right onto Dexter Street, and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Providence will travel the regular route to Goff and Dexter Streets. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Route 99 (Providence/Pawtucket) – Trips Via Pawtucket Avenue:

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to George and Cedar Streets, left onto Cedar Street, right onto Pine Street, and then right onto Goff Street. Passengers will board and alight during this time at the Navigant Credit Union.

Outbound trips leaving downtown Providence will leave from Goff and Dexter Streets, take a right onto Dexter Street through to Park Place, and then resume regular route.
